I am sure you have heard that Sam the Koala died today.  The dear little koala that made the whole world notice the plight of the Koala has left behind a great legacy. I have been interviewed by many journalists and I believe our Prime Minister was asked how he felt about her passing.

She is and will continue to be a shining light on the plight of her wild cousins who need our politicians to understand how important the koala is to this globe.

As you know I do not feel our politicians understand that enough. If they did they would be making sure it was protected.

Perhaps Sam will do what our political leaders haven't done – bring about that change.
