I believe this article is a blatant demonstration of why Australia needs a Koala Protection Act. Not only does this reserve protect hundreds of other significant species because of the old growth trees on the site, but it is also the home to Koala. How can this reserve be destroyed when the Koala was protected in May 2012 and we still wait impatiently for a Federal Koala Recovery Plan?
The Australian Koala Foundation will be hosting a tree planting on the site on 21 st October at 3 p.m.
